Born in Devon, Nigel Draper comes from a long line of engineers and artists. He was educated at Chipping Sodbury Grammar School and later as a mature student at Cambridge University, where he read History.
There has been no discernible pattern to his career, if a jumble of jobs can usefully be described as career. He has been a theatre porter in a hospital; a project manager on multi-million pound construction sites; and a part-time stage door keeper. For many years now he has framed pictures and restored furniture.
During the 1970’s and 1980’s he wrote a number of speculative scripts for television.
He has always enjoyed travelling and has lived on the island of Corfu and worked in Germany. Interests include music, cricket, architecture and wasting time. Nigel has also played drums in various bands.
He lives in the Wiltshire countryside with a cat called Wussit and a very old Atco lawnmower.
Nigel loves hearing from readers, so do feel free to contact him.
